In 1956, Gadal wrote to the founders of the School of the Golden Rosycross:
‘… In the two valleys of Ariège and Sos, in the huge spaces of the sacred mountain of Ussat, lived the Gnostic Brotherhoods so dear to us: the Rosicrucians, the Cathars and the Knights Templars. What happiness reigned in those ideal communities! Occitania, the south of France became naturally a kingdom of love.
“God is love!” was one of their favourite sayings. This kingdom was linked to the Universal Brotherhood. In that kingdom there was no hostility, but, unfortunately, it gave rise to cruel hostility against itself.’
